The Boodles NG200 Garden was inspired by The National Gallery’s 200th Anniversary. Taking inspiration from a selection of the gallery’s most iconic artwork, Garden Designer Catherine MacDonald, depicted artistic elements such as colour, texture, repetition, and perspective elements.
The soft planting represents impressionism whereas the more regimented areas where the plants are planted in formal lines, represent the brushstrokes on the canvas.
The garden features decorative metal arches and two water features draws the eye through the garden, inspired by Gallen-Kallela’s ‘Lake Keitele’ and Monet’s ‘The Museum at Le Havre’.
