Meet the team – Rob Sayer

To kick off our meet the team series, we have one of our longest serving member of the team, Rob Sayer.

Rob joined Gadd Brothers in 2021 and has progressed from Arborist to our Arb Team Leader/ Lead Climber. Day to day Rob manages the arb teams, liaises with our clients and oversees our health and safety compliance. As our lead climber, Rob carries out the majority of our technical aerial work but is also never far from the office and a laptop!

What’s your favourite tree species and why?

The oak! They’re a superb looking tree, great to climb in and generally prune up really nicely too.

What is your favourite piece of arb kit and why?

I like the arb digger. It’s not that I like to drive it, more that it’s great to work alongside when brining down big trees or when a lot of work needs to happen in a short space of time, it’s a real man power multiplier!

What’s one thing that always makes a workday better?

It’s got to be biscuits from the customer (hint hint)

What’s your biggest achievement?

Effort wise, it would have to be helping to get Arb Approved accreditation for the company. Or literally my biggest was a 4t crane pick.

If Gadd Brothers were to have a mascot, what do you should it be?

A black Labrador!

Tell us one thing on your bucket list?

To climb and work on a giant redwood. Still somehow I’ve not managed to tick it off my list after 18 years in the industry.
